New York City Walk4Hearing in Riverside Park.
Hundreds of New Yorkers will step up for HLAA’s Walk4Hearing in New York City’s Riverside Park on October 18th. The event helps raise awareness of the challenges facing 36 million Americans with hearing loss and proceeds support educational programs and services, and national and local advocacy work for people with hearing loss.
The Manhattan Chapter of HLAA, organizer of the event, reports that friends, families, co-workers, educators, doctors, audiologists, students, business leaders, and interested groups in the hearing loss community are forming Walk4Hearing teams and joining existing teams. Corporations and area businesses are on board in support of the cause. Walk teams of any size are welcome.
The NYC Walk4Hearing begins in Riverside Park at West 83rd Street and Riverside Drive and follows a 5k route. Festivities include children’s entertainment, snacks, giveaways, free hearing screenings, prizes, and more.
Registration begins at 9am and the Walk starts at 10am.
